NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board for the Town of Delhi at the Delhi Town Hall on the 10^th day of November 2015, at 7:00 pm, regarding the adoption of a Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit established in General Municipal Law §3-c.   This law is being proposed to comply with subdivision 5 of the General Municipal Law §3-c which expressly authorizes the Town Board to override the tax levy limit by the adoption of a local law approved by vote of at least sixty percent (60%) of the Town Board.  At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning the same.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Delhi will be having a budget workshop meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 4:00pm at the Town Hall, 5 Elm Street, Delhi, NY.

The Town of Delhi is selling a 1992 Ford F-150 4x4 pickup truck in “as is” condition with a minimum bid of $500.  All bids must be received by Monday, August 10, 2015.  All bids should be mailed to Town of Delhi, Town Clerk’s Office,  5 Elm Street, Delhi, NY 13753, in an envelope marked “truck bid”.  Questions or viewing of the truck can be made by calling the highway department at 607-746-2237.  We reserve the right to reject all bids.

The Town of Delhi is seeking to establsh two summer youth employment positions (up to 35hr/week) to assist the Town Assessor with data entry. These positions will be available dependent upon funding from the Delaware County Youth Bureau. Interested youth should email their name, phone number, contact information of 2 references, and a brief resume (if available) to Councilman Bill Cairns at BillC@curtislumber.com by 5PM on June 19th.

The Town Council will hold a special meeting at 9:00AM on Friday, June 12 at the Town Hall. The special meeting is necessary to officially respond to bids received for a new pool.

Delhi's Joint Flood Commission will hold its first public meeting on June 22 at 6:30PM at Delaware Academy. It is important that members of the public attend this meeting, the first in a series, to help inform visiting engineers about flood issues in Delhi and to guide the near-term planning process. Watch here for further updates.

Summer hours for the Town Hall are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:30 PM. The Town Hall is not open on Fridays during summer months.

The Delhi Community Garden at Sheldon Park has two open raised beds.  There currently is no fee for interested individuals or groups to maintain a bed for the 2015 growing season.  All of the produce is the gardeners to keep or donate.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL

Pursuant to Section 506 & 526 of the Real Property Tax Law.

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assessors of the Town of Delhi, County of Delaware have completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy has been filed at the Delhi Town Hall, where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday in May (May 26^th, 2015). A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the Assessor’s Office.

            The Assessors will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll at the Delhi Town Hall, the following days:

Invitation to Bidders 

The Town of Delhi will receive bids on a 2015 or newer, One-Ton, Regular Cab, 4x4, 8 ft. box Pick-up Truck.

Delivery date must be specified and priced guaranteed upon delivery to the Town of Delhi.  The Town of Delhi will install a late charge of $100 (one hundred) per day for each day equipment is not received after specified date of delivery.

It is the Board’s intention to award to the lowest bidder meeting these specifications; however, the Town of Delhi reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the Town.  Early delivery time will also be considered in awarding the bid.

Complete specifications are available upon request at the Town of Delhi Highway Department, 3 Elm Street, Delhi, or the Town Clerk’s Office, 5 Elm Street, Delhi.

All bids must be received by 3:00 pm on March 23, 2015 at the Delhi Town Clerk’s Office.  A special meeting of the Town Board will be held on March 24, 2015 at 9:00 am to open bids.  Bid will be awarded at a later date after all bids have been reviewed.
