A raccoon tested positive for rabies in the town of Delhi.  This is the fourth laboratory confirmed positive case of rabies in Delaware County in 2026. 
A rabid raccoon exposed two dogs in the town of Delhi. The raccoon was sent for testing to the New York State Department of Health Wadsworth Laboratory. Both dogs are up to date on their rabies vaccinations and received a booster.  There was one… more

Bat tests positive for rabies in Delhi:
A bat tested positive for rabies in the Town of Delhi. This is the third animal in Delaware County to test positive for rabies in 2026. One person was exposed to the rabies virus and is being treated for rabies post exposure prophylaxis. No animals were exposed.
